He is a member of the Sudanese Islamic Fiqh Academy, and the Arab Council for Social Sciences in Beirut. He has participated in many international conferences, published scientific research in refereed journals inside and outside Sudan, and has a number of printed publications. His research interests focused on African Studies and Islamic Political Thought.
