He obtained a Ph.D. in political science and international relations at the University of Algiers 03, and a master\u2019s degree in regional studies from the same university. He is currently conducting a second doctorate in the political economy of the Middle East at the Institute of the Middle East and Islamic World at Marmara University &#8211; Turkey. His research interests are focused on the areas of governance and political development, as well as Islamic studies in its political dimension.
